Adamawa Governor Fintiri Commits to Monthly Allowance for Corps Members Amid Inflation

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has reaffirmed his commitment to providing a monthly allowance of N10,000 to each National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member serving in Adamawa State, aimed at alleviating the impact of inflation.

Addressing 1,700 corps members during their swearing-in ceremony at Damare Orientation Camp, the Governor, represented by Deputy Governor Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta, assured the corps members of a conducive environment throughout their service in the state.

“My dear compatriots, we remain committed to fulfilling the payment of the N10,000 monthly allowance for corps members serving in Adamawa State to cushion the biting effects of inflation currently being experienced,” Governor Fintiri affirmed.

He urged the corps members to reciprocate the gesture by being diligent, disciplined, and hardworking in their primary assignments, while encouraging them to take advantage of opportunities for self-employment through the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) Programme.

In response, NYSC State Coordinator Mr. Jingi Denis expressed gratitude to the state government for augmenting the feeding of corps members and camp officials and urged the corps members to maintain discipline and enthusiasm throughout their service.

The Governor’s pledge underscores his administration’s commitment to supporting youth empowerment initiatives and ensuring the well-being of corps members serving in Adamawa State.
